Whimsical • Nostalgic • Botanical
Enchanted by the nostalgic charm of the Hawaiian resorts they return to year after year, the clients envisioned a primary bedroom that felt like an everyday escape. Their love of embroidered textiles, vintage artwork, and heirloom-inspired furnishings informed a layered interior where bold botanicals, collected antiques, and saturated color coexist with ease. A cozy sitting area, inspired by the coffee shop where the client spends several mornings each week, lends the room an inviting rhythm—creating a retreat that feels equal parts collected, comforting, and transportive.

After thoughtfully renovating her home, a fellow designer turned to Storied Interiors to help complete the final layer. The architectural updates provided a beautiful foundation, but the home was still missing the warmth, character, and personality that make it uniquely theirs. Storied Interiors sourced art, furnishings, and collected objects that reflected the homeowner's aesthetic, then thoughtfully composed each space through furniture placement, art installation, and styling. The result is a home that effortlessly combined the clients existing pieces (including a painting by Thomas Hart Benton) and curated collectables making the rooms unmistakably personal.
